SCU reached a critical point with their website. It was growing so fast with so many contributors that scu.edu was becoming difficult to control any kind of standards. The home page and many of the sub-pages looked more like a portal than a marketing-oriented site focused on prospective students.
The obvious choice was to start with a robust CMS (content management system) and redo the information architecture. We helped SCU select the right CMS and then worked with all of the departments to contribute input on the new design. We leveraged existing high-quality print publications as a way to promote the "mission" of SCU on the home page. The result was a site that continues to be standard of higher education sites.
